Come Visit Our Classroom...filled with trees, wildlife, sandy beaches and lots of NW culture! You and your students will experience the beauty of our Northwest environment when you visit Tillicum Village on Blake Island. Young minds will soon discover why we need to cherish and protect our surroundings. Students will begin a journey of understanding diversity as they witness the ancient culture of our Native American forefathers. Your special voyage to Blake Island begins at 9:00 a.m. from Seattle's Central Waterfront, Pier 55 (Pier 55 Directions). There are many adventures awaiting your students at Tillicum Village. Before lunch there is time to explore a nature trail, enjoy beachcombing in front of the longhouse or watch a Native American carving demonstration. Students will savor a delicious hot lunch featuring our award-winning baked salmon, prepared using the traditional Northwest Coast Indian method. Following our exciting stage presentation of Northwest Coast Native American dances, you'll board the boat for the return trip to Seattle, arriving at 1:30 p.m. Every child should experience Tillicum Village. We look forward to seeing you and your students during our 2008 School Program. The school program is for Elementary and Middle School Students only. Please see our Youth Program for older students. Check out our new Kids Page, full of fun activities for kids.
